Cookie policy
This policy is drafted based on the indications contained in the General Provision of the Privacy Guarantor of 8 May 2014.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites visited by a user send to their browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, etc.), where they are stored before being retransmitted to the same websites the next time the same user visits them .
While browsing a website, a user may also receive cookies from other websites or web servers (so-called "third-party" cookies ) on their device. This happens because the website visited may contain elements such as images, maps, sounds, social media buttons (Facebook "Like," Google "+1," etc.), or specific links to web pages on other domains hosted on servers other than the one hosting the requested page. In other words, these are cookies set by a website other than the one you are currently visiting.
Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of " carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service " (see art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Code).
Profiling cookies , on the other hand, are used to create user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing the internet. They are referred to in Article 122 of the Code, which states that " the storage of information in the terminal equipment of a contractor or user, or access to information already stored, is permitted only on condition that the contractor or user has given his or her consent after being informed using the simplified procedures referred to in Article 13, paragraph 3 " (Article 122, paragraph 1, of the Code).
