Dear visitor, you may know me as a playwright, writer, librettist and lawyer, citizen of what was at that time the Republic of Venice. Anyway I had the chance to visit Gorizia during the 18th century and this city struck me in a way that I wrote about it: " There is no province in Italy where there is so much nobility as in this one ". I was so lucky as to meet this place in one of its moments of maximum splendor, when it was a crossroads of peoples who were living together in great tolerance, but also a rich and attractive city!
