Villa Perco was designed for his friend, the builder Bruno Perco, in 1935.

Umberto Cuzzi (Poreč 1891 – Turin 1973)

A jewel of Italian and international rationalism, Villa Perco was designed by Umberto Cuzzi between 1933 and 1935 for his friend, the building contractor Bruno Perco. It is a detached villa, set back from the street and surrounded by greenery. The box-shaped building extends horizontally with a typical orthogonal façade punctuated by an interplay of horizontal and vertical lines created by the protruding portico on the left side of the façade. The portico is supported by a wall and three pillars that define, on the extrados, a slender balcony. Enclosed by a thin tubular enclosure with elegant curves, it evokes a naval-related architectural style. In the mid-1930s, Gino Levi Montalcini described the work as a relationship of "solid and empty spaces harmoniously punctuated with the most delicate sensitivity."
