The building today corresponding to numbers 39, 41 and 43 (documented since 1769, but certainly pre-existing) is known as “Casa Sticsa”, from the name of the owner Edoardo Sticsa, who in the early twentieth century commissioned the restoration of this building to the Jewish architect Gerolamo Luzzatto (1876-1953).

The resulting four-story building: the lower two were occupied by shops and warehouses, while the upper floors were originally intended for residential use. It is one of the finest examples of Art Nouveau architecture in Gorizia. The building is also known as the "Krainer House" because, until 1912, the ground floor housed the Krainer family's hardware store for nearly a century. The business was renowned throughout the surrounding area and was so popular that the interior floor, next to the wooden counters, is slightly concave due to the constant line of customers waiting their turn. Today, the space has become a venue for exhibitions, conferences, food and wine, and cultural events.
