United in a single complex by the restoration completed in 1989, the Dornberg and Tasso houses today house the War Museum, the Museum of Fashion and Applied Arts, the Archaeological Collection and the Ethnographic Collection.

The Great War Museum is divided into twelve rooms displaying various photographic documentation, weapons, medals, and other evidence of life in the trenches during the First World War. The exhibition begins with a general overview of the Great War and then focuses on the Isonzo front. Of particular note is the life-size reconstruction of a trench, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the daily lives of soldiers during the war. The exhibition also includes spaces dedicated to General Armando Diaz and the Julia Alpine Brigade.

The Museum of Fashion and Applied Arts presents a collection of accessories and clothing spanning the 18th to 20th centuries. Of particular interest is the section dedicated to silk production, featuring a large 18th-century silk spinning mill.

The Archaeological Collection includes finds from Gorizia and the surrounding areas: the pieces on display range from the late Paleolithic period to the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
