Library Garden

The historic building that once housed the Werdenberg Seminary (named after the noble patron who financed its establishment during the 17th century) and is now home to the Isonzo State Library, offers within it the intimate atmosphere of a large garden surrounded by harmonious porticoes with three tiers of loggias.

The interior staircase, likely the work of Giovanni Pacassi, father of the more famous architect Nicolò, is remarkable, as are the beautiful stucco decorations above. The discreet and somewhat hidden nature of the Garden offers the perfect opportunity to furtively kiss your beloved, away from prying eyes.
