Cuk Elia Cycles

Back in 1903, Elia Cuk and his wife Vittoria opened a bicycle shop.

Back then, they also sold sewing machines, guns, and the first radios—a real novelty for the time. The shop still sells bicycles today, and has expanded into several interconnected spaces.

The reason is unknown, but any true Gorizia resident knows this very special bicycle shop—embedded in the historic center—and considers it an archetype of an "old-fashioned" shop. It's worth a visit, or even just a glance in the window for a glimpse of Gorizia's bygone days.
