Coronini Park
Coronini Park extends over nearly 5 hectares near the ancient Piazzutta district, in the center of Gorizia. Today, it stands as it was conceived in the second half of the 19th century by Count Alfredo Coronini Cronberg, who transformed it from an Italian garden into the landscape garden we see today. Designed with panoramic terraces, fountains, pergolas, stairways, and ponds, it is home to numerous botanical species from the Mediterranean, Central Europe and the Balkans, Asia, and America.
In harmony with the vegetation within the park are several statues and also a small neoclassical temple, located on a small hill artificially created with stones from the Gorizia Karst, inside which is a cistern with a well, used to irrigate the garden.
A green oasis five minutes from the ideal centre, thanks to its constant romantic appeal, to always make new loves blossom and to renew those already consolidated over time.
