BORGO GRADIS'CIUTTA
The Collio vineyards surround Borgo Gradis'ciutta, a complex of buildings dating back to the 16th century, now transformed into a welcoming retreat for those wishing to spend a holiday in one of Italy's most important wine-producing regions, experiencing wine-related experiences and savoring the slow pace of the countryside and nature.
Robert Princic's Gradis'ciutta winery offers its guests nine rooms and three apartments. The rooms overlook the surrounding hills, are all spacious, and feature a private bathroom with complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer. They are also soundproofed, have independent heating and air conditioning, a wardrobe, a minibar, a TV, and Wi-Fi. The apartments also have a fully equipped kitchen. Breakfast is served each morning in a spacious dining room or, in warmer weather, outside in the garden under the shade of a centuries-old lime tree.
Borgo Gradis'ciutta guests can enjoy winery and vineyard tours, tastings, and wine experiences. The Gradis'ciutta estate, which achieved organic certification in 2018, now boasts 25 hectares of vineyards, cultivating native and international grape varieties, vinified as single varietals or blended to create exceptional blends.
The property is located in the heart of the Collio wine region, just a five-minute drive from the city of Gorizia, European Capital of Culture 2025 along with Nova Gorica, and a few kilometers from Cividale del Friuli and Aquileia, both UNESCO World Heritage sites. Grado, with its long beach and stunning lagoon, is just over half an hour away. And let's not forget that the border with Slovenia is just a few kilometers away, where there's a world of history and places to discover.
