William Coronini

I grew up surrounded by art and history, and I always wanted everyone to have the opportunity to do so. That's why I transformed my palace into a museum open to the public.

 

Dear visitor, I am Count Guglielmo Coronini Cronberg, and I welcome you to my palace! To manage the family estate, I studied agriculture and law, but my great passion has always been art and history. Two wars have marked my life and that of my loved ones. I have traveled extensively, but Gorizia is my home. Here, I have organized exhibitions, published books on the city's history, founded the local chapter of Italia Nostra, and for years have been a key figure in its cultural life. To prevent the artistic and historical heritage accumulated over the centuries by my family from being lost, I created a foundation to which I have entrusted my assets and my dream: to revive the charm and atmosphere of centuries past for all visitors!
