Lojze Bratuž
From a young age, I loved music and dedicated my entire short life to teaching, composing, and directing various Slovenian and Italian choirs. During the Fascist era, I paid for this passion with my life.
Dear visitor, music, in its many forms, has been my great passion. During my short life, I have been a composer, organist, choirmaster, and music teacher at the Minor Seminary of Gorizia. The compositions I have created are predominantly choral. I have had the good fortune of directing various Slovenian and Italian choirs and collaborating with prominent Gorizia musicians, including Maestro Augusto Seghizzi. Archbishop Sedej appointed me supervisor of sacred music in the parishes of the Gorizia area. I was a victim of the fascist regime.
