Dear visitor, you may know me as a playwright, writer, librettist, and citizen lawyer of the then Republic of Venice. I had the opportunity to visit Gorizia during the 18th century, and this city so impressed me that I wrote: "There is no province in Italy where there is as much nobility as in this one." I was fortunate to experience this city at one of its peaks, when it was a crossroads of peoples who coexisted with great tolerance, but also a rich and attractive city!
