On Thursday, March 5, at 5 p.m., a tribute will be paid to Béla Tarr, one of the most radical and influential authors of contemporary world cinema, who recently passed away. The Kinoatelje would have liked to have awarded him the Darko Bratina Prize in 2025.
The evening is part of the GO! Studio project, which offers young filmmakers and cultural professionals a hands-on learning journey: from the making of the film to its festival run, from critical reflection to training support.
The initiative will open at 5 pm at the BorGO Cinema on Via Rastello, with Sunčica Fradelić, co-founder of the film.factory initiative.
The event will continue at 8 pm at Kinemax, with testimonials from Pedro Costa, Lav Diaz, Amos Gitai, Amir Naderi, Gregor Božič, Alessandro Comodin, and others, introduced by Donatello Fumarola and Mateja Zorn of the cross-border film festival "Homage to a Vision.".
Finally, the film “The Turin Horse” will be screened.
Free admission.
