The Smart Space of the Cassa di Risparmio di Gorizia Foundation, located at Via Carducci 2, is enriched with a new exhibition within the "Gorithia. Between the Folds of Time" series, featuring 16th-century prints from the Austriacae Gentis Imagines series by Francesco Terzi, owned by the Palazzo Coronini Cronberg Foundation.
“Emperors, Kings, Princes and Wives – Portraits of the Habsburgs in Prints by Francesco Terzi” is the title of the exhibition, which focuses on the work that brings together a gallery of 74 full-length portraits of emperors, kings and princes of the Habsburg family, their daughters and consorts, and their royal and legendary ancestors, placed alone or in pairs at the center of a classical architectural structure, flanked by figures that allude to the virtues of the sitter depicted, and a caption extolling their value along the margin of the sheet.
The prints are displayed alongside, in the adjacent room, four panels – two of which are painted on both sides – by Marcello Fogolino, created by the Renaissance artist and a painter from his workshop in 1548 for an altar in Gorizia, part of the Carigo Foundation collection.
