A great classic of the world ballet repertoire will enchant the Gorizia audience: “Don Quixote,” choreographed by Marinel Stefanescu, will be performed at the Teatro Verdi on Saturday, April 18, at 8:00 pm.
An extraordinary co-production between the Nuovo Balletto Classico di Reggio Emilia, directed by Rezart Stafa, and the Ukrainian Classical Ballet, which follows the structure of the famous ballet by Marius Petipa with music by Ludwig Minkus, based on episodes from the novel by Miguel de Cervantes.
Unlike the novel, which is more philosophical and melancholic, the company's ballet focuses on liveliness, color, and comedy. The story's focus is not only on the "Knight of the Sad Figure," but also on the thwarted love between Kitri and Basilio, played by principal dancers Marika Morra and Denys Panchenko.
Tickets are available on the Liveticket platform and at the box office at Via Garibaldi 2/a.
